This book is based on talks given by Ajahn Passano in 2018 during his sabbatical in Thailand where he reflects on birth, death, and transformation.

In 2018, Ajahn Pasanno stepped out of his role of abbot at Abhayagiri Monastery and began a year-long retreat. During his retreat, he resided for several months at a monestary in Pak Chong, the district of Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Over the course of his stay, he offered Dhamma talks during the birthday celebrations of Ajahn Sumedho, Ajahn Jundee, Ajahn Nyanadhammo, and Ajahn Pasanno himself.
