Description: Thai New Year's Celebration (Songkran) - April 14, 2018 Sunday, April 14, 2019⋅10:00am – 3:30pm Description: Please join us at Abhayagiri for the Thai New Year's (Songkran) ceremony this Sunday, April 14, 2018. 10:30 AM -- The monks will go on a traditional alms round during which visitors may put a small amount of rice in their bowls. Following alms round, monks will participate in the traditional ceremony of washing a Buddha image. 11:00 AM -- Meal offering. 1:00 PM -- Ceremonial washing of Ajahns' hands, Paritta chanting, a blessing of holy water, and a Dhamma talk by Ajahn Sek translated by Ajahn Ñāṇiko. Please plan on carpooling if possible as parking is limited. If possible, please be here by 10:00 am.
