Ajahn Dtun Visiting

Description: Ajahn Dtun was born in 1955 in the province of Ayutthaya, Thailand. He was raised and schooled in Bangkok, completing a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1977. In 1978, he decided to ordain at Wat Nong Pah Pong with Ajahn Chah as his preceptor. Presently, Ajahn Dtun is the Abbot of Wat Boonyawad in the province of Chonburi where he has lived for the past 20 years. He has been a monk for 35 years. Ajahn Dtun will be visiting Abhayagiri for a week and plans to arrive on Saturday evening, May 4th and depart on Friday, May 10th. Although we are filled to capacity for overnight guests at this time, per usual, anyone is welcome to come to Abhayagiri as a day visitor.
