This mp3 CD contains Dhamma talks, guided meditations, and questions and answers from the 2014 Abhayagiri Thanksgiving Monastic Retreat which occurred from November 21 to November 30 at the Angela Center in Santa Rosa, California. The CD contents are also available for online browsing (opens in new tab) and can be downloaded as a zip file.
Each fall, Abhayagiri Monastery creates a photo album of the year’s events for Ajahn Pasanno to take on his December visit to Thailand. This book is available for free in pdf format and can be ordered from Blurb for the cost of printing. The photos from this book can also be viewed in the gallery.
An exhaustive survey of the Buddha’s exhortations from the Pali Canon addressed in the form “thus … should you train yourselves” (evañhi vo _.. sikkhitabba_ṃ).
The title of this book refers to the image of the Buddha’s teaching, the Wheel of Truth (or Dhamma). It is a wheel that he set rolling in his first discourse by proclaiming the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path of practice. This teaching remains as the axis of Ajahn Sumedho’s teaching and personal contemplative work.
This volume is a reprint of The Sound of Silence, published by Wisdom Publications in 2007 and offered by them to Amaravati Publications for free distribution. Since we aren’t sure whether Wisdom Publications will allow us to distribute this work electronically, we have removed the downloadable versions until this is clarified.
